I haven't heard anything about the 8th yet, so it's supposed to get it on that day?

Nothing's supposed to happen till the 22nd. EDMC wants to avoid a rush for the doors.

Makes sense to me.

Grab as much printer paper as you can. I didn't take enough when I left AI and I'm running low after just over a year.

I have to disagree. It appears the draw-down in personnel will be significant and if Full Time faculty shift to Part Time as has been suggested, then no new Curricula will be written. Legal problems and lack of funds ( Market Cap: $5.6 Million ) will prompt a shut down sooner rather than later. I see it all as part of a corporate shift away from Higher Education and toward Elementary and High School. Whether Corporate America is any more successful here remains to be seen. For the time being, this new venue is certainly easier to control. Witness Common Core.

@HBGZ971-1xxs, it's difficult to imagine a total shut down in the foreseeable future. The Obama administration does not want to leave with another big for-profit college failing (and tens of thousands of students filing for repayment). Also, the Clintons has some ties to KKR (through Laureate Education). The truth is, it's very difficult figuring out EDMC's situation since the KKR takeover.................................................. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/edmc-keeps-art-institutes-students-staff-dark-dahn-shaulis?trk=mp-author-card

It does make sense that a restructure would precede a complete shut down. It also would make sense that a great many admins across the board would be let go. With student numbers as low as they are, one chair person at one school can oversee students and staff at several surrounding schools. The wild card will be all the adjuncts. Will they even stick around and if they do, will the classes they teach be worth much? Student attrition will be severe and I suppose that's the plan.

So, what are we looking at, maybe one more quarter? Geez, how long have we been saying that?

While something may or may not happen June 1st at some edmc schools, the big Ai restructure has been confirmed for June 22nd.

Yeah, I noticed, at least at my school, they made Tuesday a holiday. The day after Memorial Day a holiday? Strange. Could be an extra day to stock the lifeboats before scuttling the ship?

Something may very well be happening on June 1. From all I've read, it doesn't appear that the Marblegate appeal is going very well. It also may be that the current restructuring plan is riding on a positive outcome. The backers allowed the stock value to close at 4 cents. Have they lost hope?
