It's safe to say that anything that doesn't have direct impact to processor sales volume is being evaluated and will likely be cut to some extent next week. This includes teams in Developer Relations, Marketing/Events, and software development tools.

Agree, SSG can be gone tomorrow and no one would notice at Intel or externally.

SSG is bloated and useless.

We have lost vertical integration ages ago (MeeToo...).

That has sealed our fate.

The only thing we need to provide are good compilers and quality drivers for whatever OS our HW can run.

SSG's future is very uncertain. They will have to live off project scraps thrown over out of generosity by business units. BK probably thinks SW is secondary compared to HW.

Some of them were almost cut by closing SSG sites in Europe/Russia.
