The right size? How do they measure that? They have run off so many talented people that all they have left are idiots, especially at SRC!!! I think everyone knows the head idiot who is running Completions!

No idea where this info is coming from. I have several friends in management at different oil companies and this thread was the topic of conversation over the weekend. All agreed, layoffs to continue in some fashion as long as things are not routinely balanced. Nice thought for sure but the biggest mistake someone can make right now is to assume things will be fine soon and jobs are safe. Keep that thought but be smart and start circulating your resume.

You have no basis for such a statement.
Unless an extreme turnaround happens in May, which is severely premature to most reports and contrary to expectations, layoffs will go on indefinitely until profits meet expectations. With as drastic downturn as we're experiencing, its foolish to expect changes for the better after a specific period.
