I know a jerk where his appeal got approved last week. He was new in a new department and they said he shouldn't have revived a SSL4
There is a basis for review and overturn of IR and such. But this time around I think Intel HR and legal are plenty smart and have everything covered. As long the selection has no bias and objective then very hard to overturn. Statistics about age, grade, TIG etc. if all cleanly selected with no obvious bias then appeal is for what your less than positive stock. They can rationalize you got the less than rational stock because you were long time in grade, slow in progress, or many other very hard to overturn stuff.
No I doubt any appeals will be approved, BK and HR learned from the last time. The appeals is a process they have to appear to have, but not one that will result in any real recourse.
BTW you don't want to get on the sinking ship. Things are bad, and only going to get worse at the company. Moral of the people still working are terrible, everyone wonder how much worse, if they will go, who wants to work there even if GM is 60%.

I was told by a lawyer there is no legal ground Intel is doing it with a formula that doesn't use age. :-P
But one could argue we were encouraged to move sideways and getting promoted or above average is hard in a new department.
But I think that's a topic in itself. Too tired to start that one. Just be a whiny bitch fest anyway.

We weren't ready to give 100% of our time and/or kiss up and/or move to another company.
The and/or meaning there are people who do work hard and don't play the game.

Where did you get data about 1% getting an additional 6 months and then ISP?
99% of appeals last year were denied. 1% were only allowed to stay 6 more months and then ISP out. You can appeal, but don't expect much from it. You all need to find a law firm. Especially you that are age 50+ with 15+ years and above. Intel clearly is performing age discrimination. Now there's thousands of you from 2105 and 2016.
According to my manager's manager (my manager was ISP'd yesterday) HR told him that he can appeal his people's ISP's, but that it's "highly unlikely" that it will be approved.
You can get an appeal form from your manager. There's an e-mail alias to receive it, some bloke in HR.
I think the option is more for show than anything else. Besides the way they treated me I don't want to go back anyway.

Yeah, try make the appeal to Trump. More chances of success IMHO.
