Thread regarding Nokia Corp. layoffs

Does Ericsson have the upper hand in VzW/ATT/Sprint in wireless network market after the Nokia buyout of ALU?

Are the customers happy with the buyout? Will Nokia lose 5G market share if it's 4G product doesn't perform well? Remember, Nokia didn't have a 4G market share in USA, that was the entire reason for the buyout.

If Ericsson plays it's cards right, it can gain more 4/4.5G market share from VzW/ATT/Sprint and win majority of the 5G market share for USA.

Once you lose customer and employee trust/faith, it will be difficult to gain back.

One thing I don't understand, (and I have never understood) in any company is why upper management gather all it's employees for a two hour meeting session only to tell it's employees what it already knows, but never comes out and communicates with it's employees in an honest manner regarding what's on all employees minds - will I have a job tomorrow, what percentage of reduction will there be in current location, will my department be affected, and if not then what product line will we be working on. Why not just come out and say it, instead of waiting for a employee to ask the question? Doesn't it make sense to let the employees who have worked days/nights/weekends for a company for decades (not being paid overtime, nor getting a salary increase in years) to be honest with it's employees. Doesn't the company owe that to the employee, to ease the mind of it's employees one way or another. If I have a job tomorrow, great! And if I don't, then fine, let me start looking for another job.

There are many many employees who are dedicated and willing to work smarter for a company they truly believe in. But it will only happen if there is good, honest, open communication between employees and management.
