Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

How many PTD and VFs Fab Engineers with ISP that have some type of leave during 2015?

I want to see a head count of fab engineers that tool time off during last year and were handed "low performance" with lower stock level 4 or 5. Remember, most managers are engineers and this decision is made very fast in an just an hour meeting. I was on medical leave 2 months and ISP in OR.

Yep, over 50 female with succeeding/exceeding and SSL1-3 only for >10 yrs. One month FMLA leave in Q4'15. Succeeding with SSL4 in Q1'16 focal and ISP this week.

The biggest risk here for Intel is individuals that were on a significant legally protected leave (MLOA/FMLA), were successful, had never before been SSL4 in a lengthy career, received SSP4 in focal 2016 without any clear documentation to support it and were summarily laid off.

Unfortunately, sabbaticals are not considered protected leave. So the people impacted by sabbaticals have little recourse.

Hey boys, saw some other post from ladies taking maternity leave and SSL4. Sounds like a pattern to me.

I think if there was nothing obvious in your review for the rating, an appeal should be a must so the team looking into can see that this happening too often and that is a problem because it seem management is not doing their work spending their time for an adequate rating.

I took a two-month bonding leave in early 2015, and got SSL4. I don't think anyone else in my focal group took a leave, so this may have been a contributing factor. But it would be hard to prove upon appeal, since my manager never said anything that could link the leave with his ranking.
