Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

The status of things at Dupont. I work in a lab. We have requests from 2 labs for support because they had to ISP their people that were

working on their most pressing projects. They have no one else that knows how to do it. Unfortunately, my group ISP'd our person that does that work. I think many projects will be delayed, not by days, weeks, or months, but a year or more because of this action.

How many ISP at Dupont? Will they cancel some of those projects?

Don't blame the VP's or anyone below. This action came straight from the top as was said. It was planned very quickly (a couple weeks if I remember right). No one has taken into account the time it will take to train the newbies. My group is so impacted that I think we will be training for 6 months to a year. This is as long as they don't expect any real work to get done.

This layoff is ridiculous, we are losing so many people with the experience to run our business. RCGs don't know anything!
