They keep laying off guys that have class A's and are hard workers. Instead. They keep the guy with a dui. One of the supervisors sons is a hand and can't even drive a tool truck because he got a ticket going 90 miles an hour in a company truck. He's still there because of daddy. They also have a guy still there that was so lazy as an operator (did nothing but eat and took 3 times longer than anyone to do a job/had numerous complaints from customers) that he was demoted to a pilot driver. Yet he still got to keep his 29 dollar an hour pay and now milks the clock. Somehow he's still there. And no one ever says anything. Another think to think about, is a lot of the guys still there are family. Cousins, brothers, father and son, and they are never touched. Coincidentally, all the white people got laid off too. Well, there's actually one left. But he's probably next. By these calculations, I'm going to make a prediction. The best workers left will be laid off next. I am a supervisor for corod and i kinda agree with the original poster. If corod wanted to save money they should contract out their repairs instead of paying to have these money wasters on the clock. When a mechanic is sent to a rig im watching it take them hours to get started and they spend half that time bullshiting with the crews. then after there done they spend another hour or two hanging around distracting the crew which is putting us further behind.

original post does not apply to Weatherford exclusively. I don't know how much truth is in it, but I do know that this pretty much happens everywhere. I used to work in a different company and you will not believe how much waste of $$ some people are getting with. We are talking tens of thousands per month per employee (mostly field service people where there is little supervision).

Meanwhile, good honest people get let go to save a few thousands per month. It's all about whom you know, and which good ole boys club you belong to.
