Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

here is what troubles me, the H-1b's on these blogs keep referencing to themselves as outsiders and it top of that with a typical condescending tone as if you guys were somehow superior. Well, until we the American people continue seeing you guys at outsiders and you guys continues treating us with such arrogance attitude in our country don't expect us to embrace you and welcome you as if we owe you anything because you have a master or a phd. I work with you guys everyday and most of your master and phd's are just "smoke and mirrors" and the white boy has to always come to the rescue at the end of the day so be more grateful and dont spit in our faces as we will not take this anymore. You guys are being brought to these shores in masses to be part of the corporate plantation and I pity you and the sooner you understand that the sooner you will understand the American struggle.

Instead, my advise for you H-1b's is to show us the American people some gratitude , appreciation, and humbleness to be here and show us that you guys are willing to be part of the melting pot were we were here first and understand how we the American people feels when our jobs are being lost to you guys in masses not because you are better than us but because the greed of the corporations and our corrupted government.

This will not stop here guys and you had a free ride until now were it has been peaches and cream with your BMW's and your families enjoy the American dream so it is up to you to shill out understand what we the American people are going thru and help us push back so we can have fare levels. We have no issues on sharing but once the balance tips the other way we will push back and we will not let an invading army that does not care about us the American people just take over our country. It simply will not happen and right now this discussions is here at the blogs but once we start taking in our homes, communities, schools, kids sports evens,..etc you guys will be basically push to a corner and that will be a very sad movement since we are friendly nation but we are not stupid nor we will be treated as such in our own soil. American's even divided at some time due to its internal diversity struggles will unite on a common front against the outsiders and that would be you guys if you decide to just continue screwing us and not helping our cause.. I am an Indian spent 2/3 of my life in this country or say lived for last 30 years. I disagree with some folks laying the blame on Indians. However, I do agree that H1B is being misused by Tech companies and all those who strongly feel, must start calling/writing to their congress rep and senators to not increase the H1B quota and give reasons- a deliberate effort on the part of tech companies claim that no suitable qualified tech skilled people are not available etc. These companies want to keep the salaries depressed and want keep the turnover low ( that is when it suits them).

Probably because of Little Big Horn and all this scalping business.

It's a common fear factor of your in competency. Indians are there after crossing all the odds, coz they deserve it.

One more thing, if Indians or H1B's will be out rest of the Amrus (Americans) will be out too, as there will be no more intel.

Intel Employees and Managers alike need to nip this. I am offended (I am not Indian), and there should be an open direct discussion in hallways and in lunch areas (wherever) to just openly shame this talk. You don't need to know who it might be that is doing it, just make it known those that do are in the extreme minority, do not have moral character, and overall a negative influence to those they meet.

This is where true leaders step up, the last thing that is needed is a "official memo" informing of certain ways to get fired. No, this needs to be a personal plea and/or discussion to right a wrong. I think it would even worse if there is no acknowledgment that this is occurring . You don''t wan't an elephant like this start to grow, because it can and will leave the door of distrust wide open. It may be uncomfortable talk, but thing is it's not prevalent, not really an issue.

Its the american dream. They come on H1-B's to fill the coffers. Somewhere along the line it becomes a sureshot entry into the US. Most the indians I work with follow the formula and are Bad engineers. They go into that profession because its an easy setup for life vs being something they would actually be good at. They play politics and kick out people who actually chose engineering because they would be good at it.
