Not anymore. I got ssl2 when i was grade 5 but when bk came in the highest is ssl3.

Grades 3-6 get SL5 (none) or SL3 (some). Nothing in between.
Grades 7+ can get SL5(none), through SL1 (a lot)
Compensation (and responsibility) changes dramatically starting at Grade 7, especially APB and stock.
I was given ssl1 at grade 6 before it was banned !!!
You don't qualify for SSL 1 or 2 if you're a 6.
Grade below 6 (including 6) can only get SL3 or SL5. According to company guideline, 95% should get SL3.

it depends on which team you are and what type of manager .
For desi : yes 12+++ hrs must :-) also they don't know what they want from employee ; just on the fly working hours :-) I have seen people working 2 AM / 3 AM ; quickly they will go to heaven :-) with bank papers
for non desi : just productivity / binary type yes / no ; /even 7 hrs ok if you justify the business , WFH also fine
