Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Are people in INTC still working ?

Where ? It is all so disgusting, these speculations.....People worrying, is it me who is loosing job or not, or ot now.

What are the managers thinking ? This is inhuman, nobody treats his pet like this.

You should go public. Newspapers, TV.....

Have some meetings, check email then go for teabreak at 3.30pm to 4.30pm. Pack my back at 5pm and go back. Being doing that for the past 10 years. What a life.

How can anyone be productive in this hell hole???? Watching our friends and coworkers escorted out in droves and then with no pass downs absorb work that you know nothing about. Being set up for failure and work for idiots. Yah.. I'm really motivated these days!!!

Just passed a woman crying and a colleague comforting her in the stairwell... sigh, feel awful for her and everyone getting laid off.

All the upper and mid-level management must go for morale to improve. This ship will continue to take on water and sink further unless the people that work their butts off are appreciated and not treated like robots or slaves. As for the people NOT working as can be witnessed each and every day, the vast majority of them have kept their jobs in this last round of layoffs.

The firings will continue until morale improves! Seriously it's like BK learned his human resource management practices from child labor factories in China. And the disruption of Intel is picking up speed.

You should be working... if you're getting a paycheck you owe it to the company. Jesus, does no one have any pride anymore?

Most of my friends left at Intel are NOT working. They are on FB or hanging out at home or txting their non Intel friends how bad it is at Intel. They feel like they are next maybe not this year but next no matter what they do, because they don't think their manager can protect them. I think people should go to the media with how Intel treated all of these people who lost their jobs after serving this company for the last 20 years. So sad how they were walked out like criminals.

Gears have grinded to a halt. No work is happening. My guess is that this lack of productivity will show up in next years focal leading to the path downward from there on.

If you didn't get offered VSP already this past Monday, then you aren't going to get it.

Yes I am checking code daily, does not mean it will work since there is no QA anymore but hey who cares as long as my pay check is deposited on time.

Yes, there are lots of people working, checking in code this week. And these are most likely the people who will not be cut because of their work ethics. Not that this completely guarantees it, but yes people are working this week.

There was once a time that you can trust your mgmt like family. You did a great job for them. They actually used to appreciate the 18 hour days and weekends you used to dedicate for Intel and them. This has changed drastically over time. Now if you are not working 18 HR days and weekends minimum, you aren't doing your job. Intel has stolen so much of my personal life over many years. Those times with family I will never recoup. Intel does not believe in family values and work/life balance, but rather destroying the heart of the family. I won't miss that.

Left a few months ago. Following this site since the beginning of the week. I feel very bad for what is happening in Intel, and especially the unrespectful way it is done. I am 100% sure most people responsible for the way things are ("Politicians", mid-level managers and PEs) will stay while the Solid performing backbone of this once great company is thrown away...

I will never go back to Intel even if I get a great offer.

Not enough people taking VSP so they want to tick more people off so more people would leave.
