Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I got both the ERP and VSP. Does this mean that Intel wants me out twice as much as those receiving only ERP or VSP? Why, if so, I got SSL3

Your managers did not pick you for anything. These are simply HR database queries on stock levels, ratings, time in grade, LOS and age.

ISP gives you unemployment. Do the math. You get pay for years of service with ERP. Plus the enhanced medical. It really is just figuring out the best package.

ERP is better. A colleague of mine was offered the same and he went for the ERP as he figured that if he did not take they would lay him off anyways. The ERP looks pretty good..one year of pay and good insurance coverage. As we do not know where Intel will be a year from now.

I am 60 1/2 and 11 years at Intel. Can I get ERP or do you have to have a Age + the Number of years to equal 75? Can I enter an individual Separation Agreement rather than the VSP? One website stated that IF you are 60+ you can get ERP? Is that true?

Thanks

To much time in your grade made eligible for VSP and your age and length of service made eligible for ERP. just chose the better option. I guess. both are totally voluntary.

No, that means you need to think ... ERP is a much better way to leave than the VSP...
