Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I saw one of these proverbial wolfpacks at lunch today.

Ironically wolves look out for the weak members in their families. This is less likely in extreme situations. But at Intel, the situation is always extreme! Amazing how the game remains the same! 1% pitting the 99% against each other, while at the same time promoting themselves.

I believe this is human nature and way to survive in an inhospitable environment such as a jungle or corporation

Sure. There are plenty of wolfpacks in Intel. These are very similar to the alliances created on the TV show, Survivor. People you may have thought as friends aren't really. You'll know them as they try to use you to make themselves look better or to elevate themselves. Ultimately the weaker employees in these alliances will be cut as they begin to turn on each other. The rest of us who left years before will be enjoying the fruits of our new roles in society.

Yes, I was laid off just this week and am taking time to assimilate my thoughts and enjoy the new "free time" with my family. I no longer work long nights after the day shift and my weekends will be free. I feel bad for those left behind because I realize that the additional workloads will have them working similar long hours. Life at Intel is brutal for most, and the mgmt hangs the façade of Great Place to Work. That acronym is a complete joke. They only ask the employee about things to improve ergonomics, but stick there head in the sand about deteriorating mental conditions. They would be surprised how many employees are actually taking anti-depressants justbto get through he miserable days. But in the end, they don't care about that since they don't have a little check box for asking the employee about their mental stability.
