Don't understand why people cry. It's a natural process. If our family must move to another state or we found a better job, we have the right to separate from Intel and likewise, Intel has the right to separate from us if needed to downsize. I held my head high, shook my manager's & HR's hands, thanked them for everything and walked out with a smile. :) The ISP package looked great! No complain! I'm ready for a new adventure! Best luck to all who stayed and wish the impacted ones soon find peace.

Thanks Intel for the ISP. I really enjoyed that today. Everybody was very profession while I got kicked out of the building. I hope it was not a burden on the HR and my manager yo escort me out. I was looking forward to this and couldn't wait to be kicked out. Hope all the other trolls are having a great day like I do.
perhaps you didn't realize that with ISP it gets marked in the system? When potential employers call to verify your employment dates, Intel is allowed to tell them you're ineligible for rehire which is interpreted as a negative by potential employers, it confirms you were termed. Prospective employers are allowed to ask 2 questions by law, "What were candidate's dates of employment?" and "Would you hire candidate back?"...the answer to the 2nd question by Intel for ISPs is "No". That sends a pretty clear message...
I am also 15+. I was told besides the unused sabbatical for 8 weeks. I could also get prorated weeks for next coming sabbatical. So to me, it will be 1 more week.
That's great that you found time out of your day to claim to be so much above everyone else. Everyone's life situation is different. Sometimes it's easier, Sunshine's it's harder. Thanks for your amazing empathy for others.

I agree, it is a good package, and it does give a good financial cushion to find another job. That's the logical part of my thinking. I knew what was coming and I prepared myself over the weekend. I had even been looking for another job anyway and wasn't expecting to stay with Intel more than a year or 2 longer. And I fully realize that lots of other people have it worse.
Still, it will take a while to get over the trauma of being escorted out of the building by security. There was zero dignity on Monday.
But yeah, on paper I'm totally cool with it.
