I wonder if Diversity candidates are safe, even if they fit into the ISP bucket. My guess is yes, they're safe.

not safe no diversity.
not protected as I can tell... they just hit the number and then surprise.
H1B's are getting laid off left and right. No one's safe here.
We need official data from Intel, anyone can come here and say anything. Must likely layoffs for non-whites is ~2% not 11% but again I am speculating and at the end of the day data is king!
No; Indian tech female 45+ age; 16+ at intel - ISP today
The proof is in the people laid off, check if 11% of woman, indians, AAs, Chinese were laid off.
The answer will likely be not and therefore Intel will never release such data otherwise why don't they?
hhh
get a clue @aug.
Nobody is exempt, but URM are less likely since diversity was a major factor this focal
What should they be protected? Valve to the company is what counts not the color of ones skin. Quit looking through colored eyes and start to think in terms of what real calve you provide the company.
URMs are hispanic (based in the U.S.), african american, native american, and technical female. Double bonus points for a technical female that falls in the first three buckets.
If you fit the criteria, you're gone. Thing is many URM's were hired in last few years and are unlikely to fit criteria. Generally the case for any recent hire. And you'd expect that. Not a good look to be firing a lot of recently hired people.
Thank you, @uax.
yes, AA are considered protected URM. All protected URM, if identified as candidate for ISP, get full HR review with manager to understand exactly what led to the low rating or SSL. If manager provides documentation of progressive performance management and messaging occurred, then they remain on list to be impacted along with non-diverse pop, but only after performance management by manager has been validated.
Not safe. Three were isp'd from one small site of which i am personally aware.
What about blacks?
@lle, Hispanic is not a protected URM category at Intel, neither is Asian Male. They are measured in the company composition, they are not considered protected.
No. We lost a Spanish female PhD and a Asian male PhD
Early poster fell into diversity category and was given ISP. No one is exempt
I'm the OP and not talking about myself. I'm just wondering if they are safe. I have a feeling they are.
I'll know soon. (I'm the OP but not a Diversity candidate, just know of one).
But how old are you?
Nope not safe.
