Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL FOR A HIGHER PERCENTAGE OF STAFFERS TO BE LAID OFF THAN MANAGEMENT.

AFTER ALL, IT IS NOT THE STAFFERS WHO MADE THE IDIOTIC DECISIONS THAT GOT THE COMPANY IN SUCH A STATE OF AFFAIRS THAT IT COULD NOT SURVIVE A STORM WE ALL KNEW WAS COMING.

I should remind everyone that Noble paid huge bucks to send managers for days and days to idiotic seminars to teach them not to use red markers or use all caps. How utterly stupid was that as a waste of time and money. That was where the eyeball poster came from.

The CAP police are "lost in the weeds".

Foolish people who focus on all caps messages will have trouble wherever they go to work. Form is important but the message is vastly more so. And it was right.

When Noble liquidates the artwork in the Houston office will be the first thing to go. It's their most valuable asset.

The expensive artwork has one thing going for it. It's more valuable than the useless exploration wells Noble's been drilling!

yes, NRFPT Dave and rest of the other narcissists in charge wanted a special place. SVP Johnson and his secretary spent most of their time for two years finding and placing appropriately expensive art to decorate our special place. We now have plenty of lawyers with little to do. Maybe they can dust the Coke bottle installation that cost what two lawyers or three well-paid engineers would make.

Fire people for typing in all caps! Now that truly is a Noble Energy worthy priority. Meanwhile the dum-dum that approved the overly expensive and half empty trophy office complex gets a pay raise. "Best in Class" indeed!

I'd fire anyone who typed in all caps as well. No wonder you were laid off.

There should be clawback provisions in management's contracts. Stover, Cunningham and Fischer get exorbitant compensation regardless of their performance. If this were the consumer world and you purchased a product that failed to work you would demand a refund. Why should it be any different with the corporate product? Had they recognized the signs a downturn was coming and taken preventive measures they might be able to justify their compensation, but they didn't. Instead these clowns leaned the other way and continued to double down on their failed strategies (Rosetta, Falklands, etc). Instead of being penalized they found some scapegoats. They laid off staff and were rewarded for failing! How is that logical? It's not, it's demented. We need clawbacks.

It is you and Noble management who is ignorant and greedy. What a woosey person you are. You can't defend yourself or the company without attacking and attempting to diminish others. GAP trainee no doubt. Your come back is to attack the use of capital letters? How original. Your response is about par for the mentality of Noble supervisors and management. Go eat dirt. Fact is, most management should have been the first to go and sued for incompetence. They steered the ship aground while gorging on their undeserved and inflated egos and unearned salaries, bonuses and stock and if they are really high on the hog's back, super bowl tickets as well. Ignorance.. It's all on you. Hogwash you spew. Hogwash you will get.

Childish response, as in "There should be a law..."

There should be a law against posting in all caps, a sure sign of ignorance.
