Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Is Murthy really worth 500 engineering jobs BK?

Murthy's $25M sign up bonus ( 500 x 50k), not to mention his $1M salary could have saved or created 500 entry level engineering jobs for the American engineering graduates.

It'd be interesting to see how much of the $25M that Murthy pocketed will be injected into the American economy. Not much of it probably, because the Indian economy is growing a lot faster than the declining American economy thanks to the American jobs and the American tax payer taking the burden.

The math is simple, one overfed exec vs 500 "American" engineering grads.

Give me 500 american engineering grads and I will sky rocket the company in one year.

Bk should look at what happened to mobility at Microsoft and learn a lesson.

Some people are more equal than other. Murthy is after all, a King.

Short answer is yes, it is worth it if the leader chooses the correct strategy. Companies that choose the wrong strategy go out of business and everybody loses their jobs.

The math is not correct anyway, $25M would pay for only 100-200 engineers at current compensation rates.

It does not matter as long as board and BK believe he is worth that and more.

Intel does not care what employees think anymore but many in this forum don't get that for some reason. Intel only careabout is profits.
