You should go back to work instead of posting here during working hours

They will close all sites in France. The French are lazy with there 35hr week 2hr lunch breaks and no working at the weekends. If Intel closed all France sites we could not tell the difference. You come to San Diego for BU you need 4 week off to recover

The fact that we do not know yet and that there is almost no communication and no target date yet for Europe does not mean that it is not decided yet (how come we already know which European countries are not impacted by sites closure ???). It just means that the 'already decided' plan can not be executed as fast as expected because of local regulations.

The question is which one of these sites survive, if any?

Intel made 4 acquisitions corresponding now to 4 very small sites in France.

AIx, Montpelier, Grenoble and Nantes.

Aix and Montpellier were already targeted for shutdown before this whole mess started.

It looks like a recurrent pattern: acquiring companies and then firing people.

Historically there is a site in Paris: sales and marketing focused.

And 2 main R&D centers with around 300 people (Intel BB) each: Toulouse and Sophia-Antipolis
