Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Can ISPs contact back?

I understand with VSP, you cannot contact back within 6 months. The ISP paperwork has no such clause. What is the rule for ISP contracting again through a vendor? Anyone know for certain?

Sure you can come back as a green badge with an ISP. Is it humiliating to come back as a green badge? Not when nobody else wants to hire you because of your specialized skills and you have bills to pay.

First, why in the hell would you want to come back? 2nd they are telling people with ISP different things. Some can return as GB but you have to wait a year. I can't imagine returning after being totally screwed over. So done with this BS.

In my layoff today the HR rep made it sound like I could. I am however adding Intel to my blacklist. The way they handled this whole thing I am never going back. I'd rather be a h--ker in syria.

why would you want to come back? You know what its like here..... and NO with ISP you are NOT eligible for rehire, it says that somewhere on the forms you sign.

If you want to come back as a contractor, wait 5 years when every one at HR and in the area you used to work is gone themselves, then you may have a chance at green badge job. Move on laddie!

Anything they tell you is lip service. As an ISP, your resume is accepted and toss in the trash while the gatekeepers laugh.

Aside from that...isn't contracting back as a green badge for much less pay after you were tossed out a bit self-degrading?
