Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Chandler's number is 560 out of 11,000 employees: http://www.azcentral.com/story/money/business/economy/2016/04/26/intel-layoffs-chandler-top-50

That is about the 5% you would expect, based on the leaked slide. Remember the numbers will skew more towards the higher grades and US. SL4 is only available for exempt GR7 and higher. SL5 is a very rare stock share (=BE) so low grades and non-exempt which is a lot of Chandler's Intel population will be minimally be hit. In the article Intel spelled out the split between the two campuses. The Ocotillo campus which is fab is only 248, but has the most employees with the factory. And the Chandler Blvd site is all R&D engineering (older folks, exempt folks) at 312. I speculate that 312 is about 10% + of the Chandler Blvd campus. This makes sense because at focal the quota) for GR7+ the SL5+SL4 stock rating is expected to be about 15%. So you take the few the exeptions and account the GR3-GR6 SL5 rate is like 2% (BE/IR quota) the 312 number sounds right for the ISP.

@H7PT6sv-fru: the 12,000 includes the VSP numbers, which won't come out until mid summer.
