Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

What is the medical insurance coverage on ISP?

I understand that under ISP, the medical/dental etc is covered for 6 months. Is this the COBRA package?

Do employees have to pay for COBRA rates? Looked up rates for 2016...it is pretty expensive for a family coverage. I currently have the Anthem HDHP.

Yes intel pays your cobra premiums for the first 6 months or whatever they are offering you.

Intel will pay your Cobra for 6 months, once 6 months is up you will have the option to continue paying Cobra or obtain your own medical coverage through your state's exchange program for ACA as by law, you are required to have medical coverage or you are penalized when you file your Federal Taxes.

Your first 6 months are free. You pay copay or whatever your coverage was already. After the 6 months you pay the monthly coverage.
