Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

When you are presented with you ISP package do you have to decide right there if you want 12 months of medical or 6 months + 9,000.

so you didn't get any additional severance at all? Just salary to end of May?

No, with an ISP (involuntary severance plan), I get paid through the end of May (I've worked at Intel just over five years), and other than that, I just got walked out. Of course they are providing placement services, I haven't looked at that yet.

I can't comment on VSPs (voluntary severance plans) since I didn't get one.

BTW, a focal rating of "successful" and level 4 stock in two of the past three years was my criterion for layoff. There may be others.
