I got the VSP offer, tried to forward the info/spreadsheet calculator to a peer that wanted to see them but file would not forward nor open. You have to be "selected". Lovely.

Actually, yes. Just beg your manager for VSP. The harder and longer you beg, the better your VSP package will be.
Our group was told that employees interested in VSP could reach out to HR and VSP might be available on a case by case basis. I would ask your group's HR rep.
