Is it worthy the effort to file? Any one know about how much money can be expected?

In AZ the HR rep told me that the paperwork can be filed after the ISP has been given, but the actual compensation does not begin until after the final company paycheck is received on May 30th.
When I filed for unemployment in New Mexico after being laid off, they did not count anything against me that I had in savings. Including severance. AZ unemployment probably knows better than you how much money you have. File for UB as soon as possible and they will kick in when your entitled to them.
When I spoke to HR about UB, they said they typically don't try to stop them unless you were terminated for fighting or something like that.
Arizona unemployment won't buy cat food. One of the lowest rates in the country.
One important thing for all ISP's, if Intel specifies you were let go due to a performance issue, they can push back about paying unemployment. If a person quits or gets fired due to performance, they are not eligible for unemployment. My guess is Intel will not want to take this path as many that were given ISP were not below a satisfactory. It was due to the stock level. And that can be easily proven to EDD that you are disputing that you were fired due to performance. I would highly recommend everyone that had satisfactory rating do NOT specify reason for layoff was related to performance. Select the "downsizing or reorg" category. If Intel fights that, they will have some explaining to do. I highly doubt they will, and I would imagine everyone that files a claim will get approved. Just be prepared for that scenario. Have copies of your focal review. During your phone interview with EDD you may need it for proof
You can still file immediately after your last work day, but you will have to specify how much severance and vacation payout you received and your benefits will be calculated as to when it starts paying based on that info. I would recommend submitting the claim right away, as it might take a little time. EDD will set up an appt over the phone to verify certain info, and also talks to the employer if there are any questions. Sometimes that can take a month. So start ASAP and then you will be told what the pay schedule looks like.
You have to wait until the VSP equivalent work days run out before you can claim unemployment.
After your severance runs out, yeah.
