There is some truth in all these statements below. Intel is corrupt and at times evil - H1B abuse is just one example. Our government does work for corporations more for it's own people. Americans are not getting enough education for their own good. Socialism (Bernie) is not the answer. If anything less government control is needed not more. It's the corrupt government H1B policy that is owned by corporations that got us into this level of corporate corruption.
@H6AotRS-xlf : I don't know what to say for your ignorance. There is an extensive background verification for any one who will be hired on H1B. Everything you are asking to be verified is being verified. Intel HR/legal will not handle H1B process. A law firm handles it. The firm starts contacting the worker six months before H1B expiration for renewal process. Nobody gets lost in the shuffle and work after visa expires. Don't believe everything you have read.
Without the H1B program, there would be no layoffs today.
Don't blame H1B holders for crappy work ethic. My husband is American but he works to the bone for his high reviews. I joke with him that he's got Stockholm syndrome, and that his coworkers rely on him too much.. In the end, his work habits are saving him from being axed. Clearly Intel's work culture is the best of the best; have some accountability with your actions.

To be fair, Intel should verify all H-1B visa's have not expired for all employees who were hired on and are not citizens. I've read there are many who's visa's have expired yet are still in the United States working at large corporations that have thousands and thousands of employees, so many that they get lost in the shuffle and keep working, with their expired visa's.
