Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

anyone had any luck volunteering for VSP if not qualified ?

Am consider sticking up my hand.... but nervous that it could just mark me as a candidate for the next round of ISP instead... wondered if anyone has success stories ?

You are allowed to ask if you need VSP and you are not offered. I know quite a few people who did it last time.

The VSP is bounded and only those who qualify will be notified. You are not able to volunteer.

agree with @H66XPPR-bel, that indicates that you have some interest in leaving, or are at least considering it. But to add to that, I know (from being in HR while at Intel) you can't self-select for VSP programs. Though having said that, this time around they might allow this once they see how many people did/didn't accept the first round of offers. If they can't reach their target they may open it up to broader audience...but I would wait until the dates when the current VSP offers have to make their decisions by to even mention any kind of interest in doing that. You're an at will employee, you can leave at will and Intel can term you at will with no notice or severance. Don't give any inkling you would even consider leaving at this point....good luck

Do NOT ask your boss directly. Unless you want to be selected for lower stock grant at next focal. Contact your HR partner and ask "if there is a process" for requesting vsp.
