Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Where is my damn VSP?!?

I was anxiously awaiting my offer all day so I could accept and get out of this hell-hole! Not sure why the net is a lot smaller this time around for VSP...thought for sure I would get an offer.

Now I get to lounge around all week wondering if I'm a victim of ISP

GPTW...at least it used to be!

OP,

There is a method to this madness...this is my take on upper management thinking:

Step1: Purge the "poor performers". Regardless of biz, we do not want them here.

Step2: Decide on biz/projects. The folks on impacted projects get vsp at this point. This way, we minimize the departure of "good people" from the favored projects.

And along the way.....give the old timers a little break...called ERP, and also roll back the site proliferation that has made it harder to manage the company.

Of course...by such heavy handed tactics(changing the rules to just 1 bad SSL in 2016) some good people will get impacted.....but we do not owe anything to anybody....this was a really hard decision for us(upper management) to take, so we have suffered as well.

H61EBpv-xvs: You are ISP due to SSL4. ISP takes precedence over ERP....it's happened to other folks as well apparently.

I was hoping for a ERP - i am Rule of 75 eligible. And I didn't get it. I don't think I am eligible for VSP - after years of Successful with SSL=3, this last year I (and lots of others) got SSL=4. So ISP? I have a sabbatical (that I was refused last year) scheduled for September. I am on vacation as of Wednesday (graduations). It may be that my technical area is not seeing a lot of VSPs - wish it were clearer. Taking my pictures off my laptop in any case - I hear they escort you out of the building for an ISP.

Time to get the hell out of this company.. if we have to go through this every year how can you have any kind of long term plans with your family like schooling for kids, buying a house etc.
