Actually, rather than an employee, I'm an Intel wife who's been obsessively lurking on the site, because I really like being well-informed in a period of potential crisis.
So I'm thinking that possibly this site is like the stoning scene from Monty Python's "Life of Brian." Where women aren't allowed to attend the stonings, but they just put on beards and show up anyway. To the point that the mob is almost entirely women who are pretending to be men.
My husband is amused by my sudden familiarity with Intel acronyms and severance packages and knowledge of the Folsom site's solar panels.
I'm a concerned parent who spent 100's of thousands of dollars putting my children through school and spent hundreds of hours listening to their concerns about their inept and incompetent supervisors at Intel only to learn that these idiots, yes idiots, are completing their Focals and determining their SSL's, knowing that their protecting their butt by making sure their employee's are not EE or O, but S or IR. Most organizations look more deeply at the Performance Review and it is only one criteria to determine if someone is terminated. The impact on the employee's life, their financial and social commitments, their desires and aspirations are all important and do not appear to be much of a consideration for Intel.
OP: investors and the news media read this site, probably many more than employees, in order to get a handle on future investments or divestments. Sell, Sell, Sell!
