It's not clear to me whether an ISP/VSP is considered "retirement" from Intel. Is anyone else in this situation? At $1,500 for each year of service this is a substantial amount for some folks.

Contact Intel benefits center ASAP to confirm.
If you are eligible for retirement, they let you take it instead of the VSP/ISP. Last year, they let you take it if you were within 30 days of retirement ("rule of 75")
You search Circuit for the word retirement @1yve. You'll find a wealth of info there.
Been at Intel 16 years. Don't know about retirement benefits. Do you have to opt for these benefits or everybody is enrolled? How can I find about them. I know about profit sharing plan only.
You get the more valuable package, in this case Retirement with all the benefits.
You can take your retirement benefits when you get an ISP or VSP. This happened to me last year when I got ISP.
