Unemployment benefits in USA

Any idea how much will be unemployment benefit from govenenment before landing to a new job?

also keep in mind that in CA you can only qualify for unemployment if you involuntarily leave so for folks with ISP you will be able to get unemployment benefits, if you leave under VSP you do not qualify for UI because you are considered to have voluntarily left the company and your claim will be denied.

For CA, $450 a week to $11,600 max, assuming you are high earner. When you apply, you have to tell them the amount of severance but that doesn't affect your ability to get unemployment. And severance doesn't affect your payout start date. Apply as soon as you get booted, then there is a one week wait period before the money starts. Good luck.

It's typically around 1600-1800$ monthly for a max around 11,000$$. It won't start paying out right away if you receive severance. That's for Ca. Once you hear about layoff, go online and submit claim.
