Accepted offer and waiting for the start date, the site which I will be reporting to is effected and is closing down. Contacted manager , he said he doesn't have a clue on what next, nothing from hr yet. Am depressed , lost confidence and having sleep less nights. Please throw some light. God bless.

Sincere suggestion, look for another job in a different company. Present Intel does not deserve you!
I joined intel design team in 2013 and have consistently got EE/O, but after all this s**t, I will leave this hell hole. Who does put money on TV shows, drones, clothing lines, models in the name of IoT! it seems like some one is achieving their childhood shock using intel's money!
In the past, Intel has offered buyouts to new hires who were asked to not join. Basically, they got some percentage of their salary for not showing up. Best case, you get money from Intel and a job elsewhere.
hi, sorry to hear about your situation. assume that your Intel offer is a goner, pull out your resume and search very hard for another offer. If you keep hoping that your Intel offer might somehow come through and not search for another job you might be making a very big mistake. you will come out as a stronger and tougher person after this.
most of what else I had in mind was said by @H4dxbsu-lzg, and I mostly agree with him. Intel's internal environment has suddenly turned very toxic. I have a feeling that a lot more people will be leaving on their own after this purge is done.
Don't mean to sound harsh or unsympathetic but life is tough. To me, you should consider yourself LUCKY to be given a BKM (Best Known Method) before being issued a badge. Your BKM should not only be an eye opener for you, it's a massive clue hitting you upside the head that Intel is NOT where you want to be. I talk to sooooo many people that THINK they want to work at Intel. They don't realize the blessing that they don't.
Trust me, just go find a job anywhere else. And if you get this depressed over something like this, Intel really isn't the place for you. They will chew you up and spit you out. Consider it a blessing you only got spit out and not chewed up, and be HAPPY about it, not depressed.
Sorry to sound so callous but that's the environment you think you want to work in (callous and worse to be honest). You've been blessed now run, don't walk.
Don't beg for a berth on a sinking ship. Dust of your resume, get back out and start networking. As hard as this is now, in 6 mos, you will be so thankful that you didnt join.
Just think about this. You get one SSL4 next year and you are out the door. You won't know you got a SSL4 until next April. Then in May you be notified you will be walked out in next two weeks.
A HR guy told me that for a new hire who hasn't joined and whose site is to be closed, here are the two scenarios:

If co-location or relocation is offered at the site you are joining-- You may receive an offer to start at a new site if you are picked. For most sites, the percentage of people being offered co-lcoation/relocation will be lower than 25%.

Otherwise, you will be let go by Intel and get some monetary compensation in return.
Meeting set with my manager to discuss site consolidation - fear that's bad news .... But these things happen in life, as an RCG relax , take a breath and just start the process again ... Harsh as it sounds - it is just a job and you will find another
I understand what you are going through. At the same time, you got a taste of what Intel is really like before getting here. You need to learn from this and always try to update your skill sets with marketable skills so that you are valuable anywhere.Start applying for jobs again. If you get an offer to relocate to a different location, you can do that if you are willing to move. But please don't feel depressed. Whole life is in front of you and these things are just a blip in the grand scheme of things in your life.
Move on, you'll find a better place. While Intel as a whole may be save-able, doesn't mean it will be an easy road. Intel is fundamentally broken in a few ways (that's why it failed to do anything in mobile despite being an 800 lbs gorilla).
My suggestion: consider moving on. Do you really think you will be joining a healthy culture after this?
I joined six years ago as an RCG. I loved the group I joined and have been lucky to have only two manager, both of which were good. And I am a high performer and won't be affected by ISP. BUT, I feel disillusioned. I feel like the new management is ripping the company apart. Murthy Joined in Nov. 2015. He has not had an open forum with our Business unit. And everything we have heard from him and also his leaked emails indicate that he has started his tenure with threat and putting down whatever we do. As though we are like idiots and don't know sh-- about the business we are in. Of course, we are not perfect, but this aggressive attitude, especially so short in your tenure, indicates a very bad management style. Personally, I don't want to work for him. Unfortunately, I am such a high performer that I may not even get a VSP. So, I might have to leave without that and before my sabbatical.... what a shame.
It may take a while, be patient but keep following up. Odds are you'll get whatever the rest of the team gets, so ask the manager about it. Otherwise, consider if you'd want to stay with the company but relocate, and learn about the different sites.
