Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Great Job Intel

You have succeeded in ruining your most loyal employees. The hardest workers that don't cut corners. But put in the long unpaid hours to keep up with their peers. You can't expect people to believe what the CEO says, on how it's not easy for him. He'll continue his job, and probably get raises, bonuses. Have nice evening meals with his family, not think twice about the individuals whom he and his advisors have set a criteria on. If you ask me, BK , has been unsuccessful over the past 3 years, should not receive any sort of SL except a message of SL5, and not expect to see a future employment at Intel next year.

BK the problem solving engineer wanted to crack open the mobile market with the help of this executive sidekicks. All he managed to do was crack open the brains of low level engineers while making them do useless work on projects that would eventually get cancelled. Somehow there are no consequences for BK and his execs for this fiasco, in fact there are more raises and rewards.

The saddest part of this round of layoffs is that this was not forced by the market but BK's own incompetence which he has hidden quite successfully by bringing in Murthy and also by putting on his politically-correct (PC) persona. The message here is that BK's incompetence is being rewarded and the price is being paid by low level employees who happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. I think this is the defining moment in Intel's history where employee loyalty will be pretty much dead thereafter.

You guys are horrible . We should give bk IR for all the work he did so far . His self promotion through TV. What an idea ! Brilliant !! Hope his children see and realize what their dad did to 12000 family . Hope they realize their dad is a cruel man . I hope even murthy experiences this . Family trauma . Then we should guage their performance

You're being too harsh on BK and his tenure here. He hasn't been THAT bad, I'd say Successful SSL4 for the past 2 years ;)
