Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Are GLs going to be laid off too?

Everybody hates our GL. We all hope he'll be gone. He took bonding leave and long vacation last year, and module overall was struggling.

My questions are:

  1. Who defines GL's SSL?

  2. Is it even possible for GL to get low stock?

  3. If they have low stock, with they be laid off as well?

I see so many Intel Employees in the gym during working hours. Anyone using the gym between 9-11am and 1-4pm should be fired.

If he took long vacation and bonding leave then it was approved by your Area Manager. By everybody hates the GL do you mean his peers or his subordinates. If it is the latter then he probably received an EE for the great job he did. A GLs job is to keep his engineers on their toes and REALLY make them earn their keep. Your GL seems to have accomplished both.

Yes that is in TMG. FLM = GL. For sure they should let go many of them as most hard work and decisions are already made by the engineers, they just "approve" and go for coffee and then the gym... what the waste of $$$ for intel.

GL = Group leader. Basically an FLM. OP must be from TMG.
