My manager is a chronic moron (pl. suggest the strongest word I can use here). Even though I did wonderful job, he gave me SL4 2 years in a row. When they hand out ISP to me, can I not take it and say I need to talk to my lawyer ?

Everyone for themselves. If you don't need the severance, and you feel it is unjustified, and if you have a case, then stand up to them and their practices. Only bully's intimidate and victimize.. as an American you have the right to file a case. Lawyers just want the retainer.. and even if you lose at least you did not let them victimize you.
@szj when a friend of mine took the VSP last time he said that he signed a doc that waived his rights to sue. I trust that he read it.
Not saying you're 100% wrong this time, just that people should be wary if you really intend to sue. I agree with the others though, take the money, sign the docs, and move on in life to something that makes you happy.
Intel has an army of attorneys, the only way a lawsuit would be remotely logical is if it were a class action suit. You will not receive any portion of your package until you sign and return the docs to Intel. Additionally, many ppl don't realize that you are not signing the docs in agreement with what they say, your signature simply represents acknowledgement that Intel provided you with their information and disclaimer. Folks think that by not signing a review or separation package that it means you are refusing to accept it's terms which is false. Your signature literally represents that Intel informed you of your status and gave you your options, what you do from that point forward is on you as Intel is no longer liable as your employer. It's best to sign the docs and move on, as sad as that sounds...but it's the truth - sincerely wish you the best

You must be new to this site. You might want to read up on that topic here. No lawyer will take your case.
Just take it, leave, and find a BETTER job. I don't understand why everyone wants to stay there! There IS life after Intel if you just go for it.
