I believe most if not all the stories I have read in FaceIntel.com. I am ex-employee of 10 years. I believe I was layed off due to my age. All my reviews were great all the way leading up to my exit. Intel has monthly to quarterly reviews, so how could I possibly get layed off with no negative documentation. Another issue is about bullying, it goes on in that place all the time from employees, engineers and managers.

@FRS: yes, you are right, I saw HR Legal commenting on there.. this post still exists for long time, my posts at glassdoor were removed already I think... Intel takes our freedom to speak in public..a terrible company and the villain in semiconductor technology that destroyed AMD!!!

Don't waste your time on Glassdoor. If you put any negative comment it will be removed within few hours. They get paid by Intel. You will see Intel add on there

"Slave labor conditions: MUST Read"

https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Employee-Review-Intel-Corporation-RVW2837487.htm

"Cons

1) Extremely poor work life balance. To max. the profits squeeze the entry level engineers. Managers want 24 X 7 coverage from same employee.

2) The only way you get leave is if you are sick/ burnout / take leave. Frequent on call coverage. wokring on late wekenights/ weekends. Beginners beware and stay away. you have been warned.

3) Gullible international graduate stundets are ready to take up any job after graduating and are the largest demography in this job role. Even though you are hired for shift 1 (40 hours per week) but it is onlky on paper.

In reality it will be minimum 60 hours...and beyond since you are hired as an exempt and your hours dont.. count..

4) You OWN the tool and Intel OWNS you . work permeates every aspect of your life...

Process engineers are considered expendable assets since if one leaves there are hundreds in line to replace..huge attrition rate in the fab roles. There is no uniform structure or system for training. most of the training is on the run. Money can be a driving factor only for so long. No proper feedback.Show Less

Completely insensitive. Since many managers went through the same hell...they dont care.

Glassdoor too points out:

"Process Engineering Slaves are Born Today"

Worst Place to Work (WPTW) with great salary, decent benefits

WPTW should be all that I can say

The idea of "collaboration" and "team work" should be implemented

The FOCAL process is a joke.. determined by a manager who wants you to perform lower and fail!! And Intel does "Deception" in the name of "Reorganization". So why hire in excess if they don't need??? 12k employees mean 12k families and their kids!!! Not just 12k employees!!! Think rational!!!
