I have recently (about 3 weeks back) accepted a job offer with Intel. However, in the light of this layoff, I am not sure if my job is still there. I do not have a start date yet but intend to start in about 2/3 weeks. On the other hand, I have another job offer that I need to make a decision in 2 weeks. The Intel's offer is better but I dont want to end up in a situation where I decline the second position and then Intel declines mine. How do I find out whether or not the job with Intel will be there at least till my start date?

Take the Intel offer, but keep your job hunt going and GTFO as soon as you possibly can. This company is going down into bankruptcy) longer term. Layoffs every year for the next 10-15yrs...
One of my friends accepted Intel offer for better salary and brand name over another at DuPont or Dow (do not exactly remember).. now, although she is most possibly NOT at the risk of layoff (being new RCG hire, 7 months ago), but she believes she should have taken the second offer!!! many ppl are overwhelmed with the brand name and high salary, but in fact if u consider the number of hours and big sacrifice of your weekends and nights you make, you are actually getting 30-40% less salary than you should really get!!! Decision is yours!!!

I would contact your Intel recruiter and explain your situation. If they can't give you that assurance, I would highly consider taking the other offer
My understanding is that offers stand.. i guess possible exceptions would be if your position is within a program that could be at risk... or you are going to a site thats closing. Managers are now being informed, i'd expect if you called them early next week the hiring manager would have a better idea.
Maybe ask them? There's no magic public list we can check for you.
