"As far as manufacturing, 95% are S with SSL3"

And this is why I hate working in TMG - even if I am in one of the dustier corners of the monolith. 0 opportunity for advancement,

As far as manufacturing, 95% are S with SSL3; I doubt they would let go of that many people at the same time.

might help to think of it this way: your rating is a measurement of how you performed the prior year (jan -dec), your SSL is a measure of what your future value to the company is. Unfortunately there are many managers who don't adhere to this concept and assign SSL carelessly, which sadly, can be extremely detrimental to the ee when RIF comes. Therefore, if your SSL YOY has decreased, Intel HR will consider that as your future value to the company declining because that is what your manager has indicated. If an ee's future value to the company is trending downward and they have a rating less than EE or O in most recent Focal, that is reasonable cause to classify them as a poor performer. This is why it is imperative that when ees receive their reviews, they should always ask for specific explanation from their manager about their SSL if it is ever less than SSL3. SSL4/5 is critical, it is not something to be taken lightly.

My thoughts are with all of you...I was an HRBP once upon a time and with INTC for almost 20 years. I left a few years ago and I've never been happier than I am now...

Last year was successful SSL4, this year was successful SSL3. Only been in intel 2 years, only went through 2 focal process. Am I going to get ISP layoff?

gdv, nope. According to the leaked info only a SSL4/5 this year with a SSL3/4/5 last year is ISP. Not vice versa. Maybe the leaked info is incorrect?

Unfortunately, unless you got an outstanding or exceeds this year or last, being on the chopping block is online with the "leaked" info.
