Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I have accepted an offer from Intel but have not receive any such email. What is your start date?

I have recently received an offer but yet to get a start date. When did this email come?

More accurately: Intel is devolving from the once seemingly invincible CPU monopoly to the disrupted CPU for servers company that failed to innovate.

Evolution works best if the selection criteria is survival of the fittest. I have doubts that is the selection criteria in play

after this so-called purge is done the surviving 89% will not have Intel's back like the way they used to earlier. you will see a spike in employee attrition because those left remaining will see their turn for layoff come sooner or later. those who can will continue to leave. While this is great for Intel's future it is not so great for a future unemployed engineer. I think that employee trust and morale has taken a huge hit. It is succinctly understood that this is not the last of the layoffs and more cuts will keep coming under Murthy's leadership.

It's a culture purge. Transformation can only occur by getting rid of that which prevents it's growth. It's no longer the "Intel way". It's time for Intel to evolve its approach, methodologies, and processes to align with more industry standards. This is absolutely the best thing Intel can do for it's future. It's not easy, and I'm sure they are struggling with the horrendous hardship for the people that have made great sacrifices towards its success over the years. But it's not personal. It's a good business strategy.
