Sorry kids, but here's the atmosphere that's been created. Aicha Evans may be so immensely smart and talented that there was no way they could let her go. But in this atmosphere of "diversity" (affirmative action), my first thought isn't about how smart and talented she must be but rather that they couldn't let an African-American female senior manager go -- she's filling an important quota! It's really sad. And I'll never know which one is the truth.
I wonder how many old white guys are going to lose their jobs to pay for her cushy new compensation package.
Intel has race, sex, lgbt quotas to fill. I feel sorry for the folks who are good at their job and a member of a quota population. Everyone will suspect they are a quota hire vs. good at what they do.
