Re H1B - keep it or drop it no one cares. Simple math
65,000 H1Bs per year + 20,000 US grad H1Bs = 85,000 H1Bs.
Assume $75,000 starting pay (many get as low as 48,000, so this is way on the higher side) = $6.375 Billion
Even assume 100% go to India (they don't, but just for bile-building let's say that).
Would India care if $6.5 Billion job category would suddenly go away - not if it is spending $8.8 Billion on 36 French Rafale aircraft.
The myth that H1B is doing something great for India or Indians is just that - and the loathing is mutual, except that those posting here are being vocal. It is ultimately hurting both US and Indian workers, and making companies boost their bottom line
Have u seen how execs from INTC or GE or any American Top 500 grovel before Indian politicians. That news may not make it here, but unlike the US Govt, the Indian govt has made it VERY clear that any move limiting H1Bs or L1s would immediately result in a retaliatory move (think quotas, import restrictions). Do a better job choosing the politicians you send to the Govt.
Trump has properties coming up all over India. He is very genial when he visits Pune.
Time to get rid of all the H1Bs from the United States. Trump will make it happen.
