After years and years of hard working old engineers are mostly targeted - you can find some news about this in Oregonian. This year the CEO got 45% raise while the company revenue is lower than last year. Employees got 0-3% raise + layoff, so what is the point of 0-3% raise? BK himself could not even answer either explain clearly during the business meeting, his answer was like "I am fine with my raise". Is this the answer from this big company CEO?
Those who survived, be careful! If you take bonding leave, or sabbatical you will be punished by that stupid focal system (manager will say you took some time off while others are working -haha), and eventually, you will be all kicked out. They don't want high level engineers, just young cheap folks who can work 24/7. No wonder there were many project cancelled and failed in the past. 90% of current managers are not qualified, poor management, poor business decision, but they always blame employees and all the bad things happen only to employees. So, why work for this kind of company and buy products? Nobody outside will know how disgusting and dirty things are gonig on inside. Layoff lots of people to create innovation and fuel the company for successful future? LOL, if you still in love with this company, go ahead and walk into your own grave.
