19,500 Intel employees in Oregon. Mostly in Hillsboro = roughly 1950 jobs lost not your 12,000.
And the jobs will be early retirement and low performance individuals that use words like "Booyah" (is that even a word?) No reason to think any of them will be leaving the area since even those tapped as "Low Performance" likely put in 20% more effort than the local Booyahers so they will just take your job.
Oh, but wait. Intel is closing about 34 small sites across the country with less than 500 employees and moving those employees who want to move to major sites, like Hillsboro.
So i guess the People of Hillsboro can rejoice!
They can look forward to an influx of "morons" (graduate engineers with Masters and Doctorates degrees) in numbers many times those who will be losing their jobs and might be leaving.
