Remember the big plans for going into the cloud business as a service? Intel head honcho's were scared to do this and compete with their own customers (Amazon). Big potential Billions of $$'s lost because management was scared.

Remember Larabee - terrible execution. People who knew nothing about Gfx running it to the ground.

Remember plans for Memory chips? Apparently a loss making business
Intel Capital is a money loosing sh-- hole, up for sale now
Intel McAfee acquisition is a money looser
Intel SSG group run by people who don't understand their consumers
Intel had it comming for a very long time. Shrinking chips wont last forever. Consumers don't care about "Intel inside" anymore, they just want solutions.
