Does Intel's lay off going to affect new hire? I mean college graduates who are about to join in june 2016?

When they did a hiring freeze, they didn't rescind offers if you accepted, signed the forms, and did the drug test. People who had not accepted were rescinded. Since it is at will employment, they can rescind the offer any time.

185 job posted on April 19th, the day it announced 12,000 layoff. Most of them outside USA. Very interesting trend folks.

typically no..these tend to be skewed towards under performers and experienced folks..

Under-performer may not really be an under-performer (if you FLM is a m****)..now, that's a different post altogether

No way. You won't be laid off. That would be crazy. They are after high paying engineers that meet the age 50 rule. oh, you also have to be white :)

Companies almost never get rid of new hires. Gives them a bad rep in the industry, and it makes no financial sense since they're the cheapest.
