VSP Criteria??

Anyone heard any rumors on what qualifies you as "eligible" for VSP?

The list for first round of VSP/ISP that starts on Monday was completely selected by HR without any input from managers.

HR doesn't know if your skill / project is critical or not. Hope engineering managers have some influence this time around.

one way will be site closures.

If your site closes or group consolidates, you have a couple options.

1) Pool (with 12000 cuts, the pool is going to be pretty deep)

2) Your job (might) transfers to another site so pack up the family and move.

(waiting to hear what they will offer for relocation with this big of a downsizing. Pay for your U-Haul as long as you don't miss any work?)

3) VSP (How is it Voluntary with these options?)

If you can fog a mirror you are eligible

They will never make it everybody at the company. The top performers will take it and instantly get a job somewhere else. The underperforms will stay since they know they can't get a job anywhere else.

I imagine it will be just about everyone in the company... save a hand full of people the company can't afford to lose. (Mission critical type jobs)
