2rby I don't think you are being blind. I work with teams from both locations and find the Folsom team to be far more aloof and arrogant. They basically feel like it's their way or the highway, and the management is so poor that it's allowed. I can't believe that it would be encouraged, but it is certainly allowed. Either that or management is just too busy doing other things to notice how poorly their teams represent Intel.
As far as I know, the IMFT team in Boise isn't perceived as negatively as the IMFT team in Folsom. Hopefully I am not being blind to the obvious.

When I get close to FM7 I get bad vibes. They are all bunch of arrogant bastards. Slash NSG please.
I've heard people here and there at the office complain about so much arrogance in NSG, but this thread really shed some light on how much that group is disliked. I had no idea. Thankfully I don't interface with them very much.

Don't get tripped up by the words "global" or "worldwide." That is really code for US. Then think diversity models. If you do not help the model you are done. Either now or soon. When you're tossed, someone who helps the diversity model will keep your 3DXpoint seat nice and warm for you. It's the way we work.
The only people that are safe are blackies, Indians, Chicons, and women.
If your involved with 3DXpoint you should be fairly safe; for Christ sake its only 11% of the global work force. I mean to cut people in a tech. that they are betting on would be quite reckless, in my opinion.
You are so right twb. I dread having to work with those people. For some reason, they seem to think they are superior and they tend to be very condescending. Everyone else is irrelevant. It comes directly from the VP and her cronies. They are all the same which is the clique mentioned earlier. I also hope they get a dose of reality this time.
The most unfriendly and a--hole group @ Intel is NSG. Hope all you all get booted
Its fine to hire friends. I think that most groups at Intel hire friends. It would be unusual to not do that I think.
You are only safe there if your name ends in Doller or you are a close personal friend of anyone whose name ends in Doller.
Safe? That's laughable. Nobody is safe. Well, if you help their diversity model then perhaps you might be more safe than some others. If you are a white male, well then try to get ahead of the line at EDD. Especially in NSG. Isn't that group almost entirely female and/or non white? They are sort of famous around here for being a clique of old timers who only hire friends. I would expect that any white male who is not in the inner circle will be shown the door.
Everyone thinks they're safe. Remember it's their job not yours. They can fill a position in a second.
