So how are the people that got the ISP last year feel today? We were labeled as mediocre employees. Can't believe there were another 12000 mediocre employees left after our departure. Intel hires mostly mediocre employees, ha?

Last year there was VSP, department closures, site closure as well as ISP. Although Intel did not made that public when applying for jobs you will be labeled as a mediocre employee to be let go. Try explaining VSP, ISP, site closure to your new employer. They will role their eye. This layoff will stay with you for the rest of your life.
Your mediocre-ism is shining through brightly OP. There aren't 12K mediocre people being let go! A chunk are VSP, retirement eligible, and site/project specific. NOWHERE does it say only mediocre people eligible for retirement, or asking for the VSP will be allowed to go. Or that only the mediocre people will be let go for the project/site chunk. Get a freaking CLUE!
