Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

What % of layoffs will be targeted based on organization vs. performance?

Does anyone have any idea of what fraction of the layoffs will be determined based on organization vs. performance? Is the goal weighted more toward targeted cuts in nonprofitable organizations, or across-the-board cuts based on performance? How far back do you think they'll look for any focal messages or level 4/5 stock awards?

Last year they looked at 3 years SSL history. But it was an "and" clause, wonder how it will be this year.

If you are a cost group, IT, you will be hit hard.

I would think that non growth orgs and projects will be hit very hard regardless of performance. Also, ssl4/5 will be hit very hard regardless of org. If not this round of layoffs then the next round in a few quarters.
