Murty likes one US site and one India site.. look for him to grow India like a weed. Close down all US sites for engineering other than Hillsboro, Santa Clara... AZ and Folsom are on the edge.. there is a reason they cancelled the Folsom shuttle flights. Both AZ and Folsom is seen as an Intel only sight were they can not hire good talent. The one exception to this maybe Austin as its seen as tech site with AMD, DELL and Samsung there.
Murthy is just getting started. He still has to get back to BK on what products to can. Next fiscal year will bring more layoffs and site closures.
@-tpe, can't tell if you are being sarcastic, but how will moving 18,000 employees from one of the cheapest west coast cities to the most expensive west coast city help the bottom line?
or are they............mwahahahahah
Can you share the subject of the site closure notification email so I can easily recognize if it comes to mi inbox?
The one with no lunch carts outside.
If they really want to save cost, close down the campuses in Oregon and move them to Santa Clara.
If your at a sight that appears to be unproductive it's a safe bet to assume that it will be closed. How long do you think that a company that has been loosing market share will be able to keep handing out welfare checks.
Just received the email UST is being shut down (Seattle)
This Murthyguy destroyed Qcom, now on to Intel!!
I would say Folsom
I say they should shut down all the sites. This company has bunch of losers. I should have sold all my remaining stocks. What a mistake. Here comes $19 again.
Is Costa Rica one of the rumored options?
Fort collins, san diego, poland, china and costa-rica.
Too bad, man.
They are both closed. If people are asking the site are gone
I'd bet either Fort Collins or Longmont will close.
We should know by Monday if it is your site. This is real sh--ty considering we just paid fat assmurty 25mil
Too soon to tell.
