Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

"Target Teams Up With Techstars To Create A Retail-Focused Startup Accelerator" Seriously?

http://techcrunch.com/2015/10/18/target-retail-accelerator/

Why would a tech startup want advice from Target executives? Even if Target had all their ducks in a row when it comes to technology (they sure as hell don't, but play along), why would anyone expect a brown nosing, ladder climbing, corporate exec to have good advice for a start up?

yeah we track TGT in Yahoo finance as well. Give it a rest, there've probably been a dozen articles re: this topic since it was posted in October 2015 FIVE months ago.

TGT offers desperation, dollars and a ready made market laboratory? Why wouldn't you want that?

Replenish the shelves, optimize the inventory, offer good pricing, provide awesome customer service, anticipate consumer needs. That's it. The rest is a bunch of unnecessary expense.

I definitely wouldn't want the advice from anyone at Target, but I might take it if comes with some $$.
